The
Task outline
As a group of
3-4 you are to
research a range of radical groups.
1. Each member of your group will research
one radical
group/individual, using the guidelines provided below.
| |
You should research one of the
following (click on your choice to go to the information resources):
|
2. You should aim to produce no more than
two sides of A4.
3. For your chosen area you should
consider:
| |
a) A brief description of the radical
group/individual's key beliefs
(concerning all or some of the following
under subheadings:
government, society, economy, religion and/or any other points
of interest)
b) What happened to them
c) Finally attempt to consider
how much of a threat they might have been to
the Commonwealth by 1653.
|
At the end:
- You will receive a score for your
individual piece and another score for the overall performance of your
group (so you will need to help each other to find as much information
as possible, and with the presentation of your ideas)
- Each student will receive a complete
set of the research documents produced by their group (so, again, you
will need to help each other to find as much information as possible,
and with the presentation of your ideas).
Assessment
You will receive an assessment grade for your individual
research. This will be on the following basis:
|
Level 1 |
- Simple statements mainly from
one main source
|
|
Level 2 |
- Explanation from several
sources, textual and web
|
|
Level 3 |
- Explanation from several
sources
- Good use of examples,
contemporary extracts/sources to support your description
|
|
Level 4 |
- As level 3 but with a clear
indication of the degree of threat they posed.
